    Dexis is seeking experienced short and long-term consultants and specialists for transition, conflict, and post-conflict assistance programming. These assignments may be for both temporary and long term positions that may require fielding to fragile and transitioning states on short notice. The work location for this position will be in Washington, DC and/or globally as required.


    • Transition Advisors for USAID Office of Transition Initiative programs
    • Democracy and governance
    • Countering violent extremism
    • Community development and resilience
    • Post-conflict reconciliation
    • Post-conflict reconstruction, stabilization, and rehabilitation
    • Humanitarian response and human rights
    • Working with refugees and displaced peoples
    • Civil-Military coordination and cooperation
    • Crime and violence prevention
    • Working with at-risk-youth or vulnerable populations
    • Program development and design
    • Grant management and small grant development
    • Monitoring and evaluation
    • Political Economy Analysis


    • Advanced degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of experience with an international donor, contractor, Civil Society Organization (CSO), or Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).


    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 6 years of experience with an international donor, contractor, CSO, or NGO.
    • Familiarity or previous experience with USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) or Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) highly desired.
    • A minimum of two years of experience working or living in fragile or transitioning states.
    • Experience managing teams.
    • Strong English written and verbal communications skills required.
    • Fluency in a language other than English may be required depending on the country or location of assignment.
