    Dexis is seeking an experienced, customer service oriented, collaborative, and problem solving Payroll Administrator to join a diverse team of like-minded professionals in support of a growing consulting firm based in Washington DC.

    Responsibilities

    • Processes US, expatriate and TCN Semi-monthly payroll through ADP.  Updates and reconciles semi- monthly payroll register from ADP.  Prepares semi-monthly payroll related journal entries
    • Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
    • Coordinates and monitors employee time submissions and management of time collection software (Deltek) and payroll (ADP) vendors. Maintains Employees’, Primary Supervisors’ and Backup Supervisors’ Accounts in Timesheet Collection and Costpoint
    • Maintains PTO and sick leave accrual and balances, prepares PTO and sick leave journal entries, prepares quarterly and annual adjustments to the accrual balances based on the latest pay data
    • Maintains and reconciles all Payroll related General Ledger accounts. Prepares payroll and other Journal entries
    • Perform reconciliations for the 401K deferrals to ensure accurate and timely funding, records 401K activity in Deltek Costpoint
    • Reconciles quarterly 941 to the ADP reports
    • Performs annual close outs in Payroll and Labor Distribution modules of Costpoint, verifies beginning balances brought forward are correct, investigates and correct differences
    • Assists with annual and other audits including coordination of supporting documentation and supporting schedule submissions to auditors.  Leads 401k annual audits on behalf of Payroll, assists HR in addressing payroll related audit recommendations
    • Takes leading role in preparation of Payroll Related schedules for Dexis’ annual Incurred Cost Submissions
    • Coordinates and maintains payroll related state registration process for the company initiated by request from HR (research, file, follow-up and execute)
    • Responds to Payroll related questions from the firm's employees. Addresses all inquiries in respectful and prompt manner. Provides support to company’s employees with Deltek T&E access, timesheets and corrections. Provides routine
    • updates to company’s employees about any changes in the U.S. Federal/state legislation/new regulations in effect pertaining to tax and payroll
    • Processes accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, 1099, etc)
    • Monitors, prepares required entries for the quarterly and annually tax payments to states and IRS, ensure corresponding voucher entries / check runs and certified mailing is in place
    • Recommends and leads improvements to the processes including automated solutions for payroll systems
    • Supports Accounts Payable and acts as Accounts Payable backup; fully leads the Accounts Payable processes when the primary Accounts Payable point of contact is not available
    • Initially acts as Credit Card Administrator and subsequently as backup as needed
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Administrative Management or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
    • Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be skilled at handling multiple tasks and able to adhere to tight deadlines
    • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Deltek GCS/Costpoint and Deltek TimeCollection
